The Challenge

Dear Saints, in this
new year we have several areas in the Kingdom that we must discuss and face as
individual Parish Churches as well corporately in our communion. During Advent
our Lord gave me 5 areas for St. Michael’s in Thomaston, GA to ponder as well
as scriptures to meditate on. These questions are to challenge us to put our
faith and hope in action as we personally apply them to our lives and Kingdom
family. I would encourage each person to ask these questions and read the
scriptures for each area.

1.       How am I personally promoting life in the
church?

  • Hebrews 10:24-25
  • Colossians 3:16 New
    International Version (NIV)
  • Ephesians 4:11-13 New
    International Version (NIV)

2.       How am I promoting Church Growth? Did you
know that 85% of all church growth comes from word of mouth?

  • Acts 2:42-47 New
    International Version (NIV)
  • Matthew 28:19-20 New
    International Version (NIV)

3.       What is your vision for the church and
how are YOU equipping the process to come to pass?

  • James 2:14-26 New
    International Version (NIV)
  • Matthew 5:16 New
    International Version (NIV)
  • Titus 1:16 New
    International Version (NIV)

4.       What is the 3-6-12 month goal for your
parish?

What is the plan to get those complete?

  • Philippians 3:13-14
    New International Version (NIV)
  • Deuteronomy 28:1-68
(Blessings and cursing for obedience as well disobedience.)
  • Psalm 33:11 New
    International Version (NIV)
  • Habakkuk 2:2-3 New
    International Version (NIV)

5.       Are YOU committed? Only you and your
fruit can answer that question.

  • Acts 20:28 New
    International Version (NIV)
  • 1 Corinthians 1:10 New
    International Version (NIV)
  • Romans 12:1-2 New
    International Version (NIV)
  • Haggai 1:2-7 New
    International Version (NIV)

I challenge each of
you to read, meditate and answer these questions. Statistically speaking every
church will lose 10 percent of her members each year. That is SAD. Even more
sad is a church not being proactive.
